I currently am able to store five items on my Back Porch and don't plan on expanding it. To be honest, I personally do not find this to be a particularly useful feature, and would much rather save my Shovels, Nails, and Padlocks to expand my Barn and Crop Silo. * Light bulbs do take up storage space in your barn, so if you do not plan on using them, dump them! Next to the green check mark that appears is the icon for the Back Porch, which is a picture of the house with an arrow. *To store something on your Back Porch, hold down the item, as though you were going to move it. You will see the Expansion Requirements, which include: Shovels, Light Bulbs, Nails, and Padlocks. * To expand the capacity of your Back Porch: tap the white house tap the last tab. Relatedly, the Back Porch is a helpful feature if you are trying to rearrange your farm and don't have the space to temporarily place items as you move around others. Right now I have several Farm Fences stored I bought and used them initially but upon rearranging my farm found that they didn't quite fit in. This can come in handy if you are running out of room on your farm and are not able to buy more land. They are part of the Expansion Requirements for the Back Porch, which lets you store your animals, crops, workshops, and decorations. A: Light bulbs can be found at the Mallard Mill once you reach level 36.
